Alberta Group host Industry Standards Seminar on the 13th November 2009
Alberta Group recently hosted a seminar for all key stakeholders that have an interest and involvement in the fire, safety and security systems industry.
The scope of the seminar was to raise awareness about best practice measures in the management of fire, safety and security, to discuss current trends and create a forum for discussion and sharing with the objective of raising industry standards.
The forum, which was addressed by both local and foreign speakers, consisted of information sessions concerning The Loss Prevention Certification Board and Independent third party approvals of Fire Products and Installers, presented by BRE Global and Fire Doors and Certification by Warrington Fire Global Safety.
From the local scene, presentations were made by Malta Standards authority, Malta Environment and Planning Authority, Civil Protection Department and Mediterranean Survey Bureau Valletta.
The seminar, which was attended by architects, engineers, consulting engineers, professionals from the insurance industry and property and facilities managers, took place in the lovely setting of the Caraffa Stores at Cottonera Waterfront, and is one of a number of seminars organized by Alberta Group with the aim of increasing corporate standards relating to the fire, safety and security industry.
