Emergency Lights – Residential

Emergency lighting is not legally required for use in your home, but is a popular option that many home buyers and home renovators are making use of in order to make their home a safer place when there is a power cut. Emergency lights provide low-level general lighting until the power is restored. Emergency lights are self-contained units that are wired into the main supply, and have the benefit of battery backup to enable them to remain illuminated should the main power supply fail. The batteries can either be carried within the body of the individual light or accessed via an independently wired circuit, and are kept charged by means of the main electrical supply.

You can choose from 2 types of emergency lights:

Maintained System: A system where the device provides light at all times via the mains supply, and continues to do so for up to 3 hours after the mains supply fails.
Non-Maintained System: A system where the device is activated to generate light only after the mains supply fails.
