Based at the Malta International Airport, Lufthansa Technik Malta prides itself as being an Aircraft Centre for Excellence in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) for narrow and wide bodied aircraft, and is now the largest facility within its maintenance network in Europe.
Equipped with the latest technologies, Lufthansa Technik turned to Alberta to design, supply, install and commission a comprehensive firefighting system. This included supplying landing valves, hose reels, underground hydrants and inlet breechers, a fire ring main hydrant system and firefighting pump house at the new Lufthansa hangar, including the administration area, stores, plant areas, and staff quarters. In addition to this, a KABA access control system complete with traffic management has also been commissioned.
