Alberta was entrusted with the firefighting ring main and hydrant system project at Tripoli Zoo. In doing so, the company handled the design and installation of an integrated system. This consisted of over five kilometres of firefighting ring main pipe work, 64 hydrants, reinforced glass fibre fire water tanks and fire pump sets, as well as stainless steel cabinets located around the site, which included part of the nearby forest.
Designed to protect all the precincts of the zoo, the installed system consisted of a fire detection and alarm system connected to an alarm graphics system. For additional safety and security, a state of the art CCTV system was also installed and a central command centre was set up for close monitoring of the safety and security of the site.
